WZFR

In summer of 2015 I was invited to participate in the WZFR Residency in Wisconsin. After two years of working in themes of Icelandic mythology and ice I diverted to looking locally. The short super 8 film created during the residency, Under Water Bridge, was the beginning of thought on built versus wild environment and the feeling of safety and control the former indulges. After creating a previous short film Ice Land in which I toss a large piece of ice off a bridge, I began to consider the bridge as a threshold between build and wild.
